There is a partially hidden pocket of bark at the top of the piece (near the annotation) that you may find extends deeper into the block. It will be fun to highlight in a finished turning. Mesquite Block M1178 2.7" x 2.8" x 6.8" 1.8 lbs. This is an attractive end grain block of Texas-grown Mesquite. It is almost entirely heartwood. There is a partially-hidden pocket of bark at the top of the piece (near the annotation) that you may find extends deeper into the block. It will be fun to highlight in a finished turning. The grain is complex and swirling near the bark pocket -- it may even have some flame figure in it. The colors include the rich reddish-brown of Mesquite heartwood, the golden to grayish yellow of Mesquite sapwood, and the dark brown of Mesquite bark. The bark appears to be tight and strong, but you may wish to stabilize if turning so that you don't lose bark chips. This is a GREEN to partially air-dried blank, meaning that it still retains a lot of its original moisture from when it was a living tree. It has been well-sealed with Anchor Seal and is in the process of slowly drying. It was heat-treated to kill off any hungry critters that may have been burrowing inside. It was measured at 15% MC in August 2022. If you need a current moisture content, please message us and we'll check its status for you. About the Tree This Texas-grown Honey Mesquite tree was harvested in El Campo, Texas in July of 2022. It was cut down by the city for reasons unknown to us, and we were happy to help save the tree from a burn pile. It is possible that this tree was damaged by the Valentine's Day Freeze that Texas suffered in February 2021, which is when our state lost a lot of beautiful trees in an unusually deep and long freeze. |

Great suit, great price

Had to send back because jacket (small size) was too tight around my upper torso so you could tell it didn't fit right. The pants though were the perfect fit, so much so I contemplated keeping the suit - it looked expensive. The suit was delivered as promised so I am thankful for that. Beause I needed it for a wedding the next day I couldn't wait on this seller as I didn't see them offering an overnight delivery. But kuddos to them though for working with me

great suit for teenagers

We loved this suit, it is true to color so it has this high end quality look and fit my tall(5’10), 14yr son like it was custom tailored. he likes that it has a slim fit and still breathable. If only the hidden elastic band was adjustable then this suit would have been perfect. It was great for 8th grade graduation and affordable

Quality fabric is prom quality.

My son is 170 lbs 5’11 fit like a glove he is normally a 34 waste there was room in the pants didn’t need a belt they sit nicely,very little stretch In the pants and jacket, but for a slim teenager not a problem. and he has a little longer legs than average I’m surprised they were perfect length. Quality fabric it was suit material, the pockets on the jacket are fake that’s fine for me. The color was awesome! This cooper and Nelson men’s suit was $61 delivered to my door, best purchase and affordable. I give 5 stars I’m so happy with it so was he.
