Gazania Kiss Golden Flame seeds need light to germinate, so they have to be just slightly pressed into the soil and not covered. Commonly known as Treasure Flower, Gazania Kiss Golden Flame shows exceptional uniformity in plant habit forming low to the ground clumps of dark-green foliage and blooming with large, golden-yellow colored, daisy-like flowers with mahogany centered petals on short, sturdy flower stems. The bold and intense flowers of Kiss Golden Flame Treasure Flower add a lot of drama to a garden, and bees and butterflies are attracted to blooming Gazania.
Gazania Kiss Golden Flame is a popular flower to grow in sunny borders, and when planted in groups, this compact variety of Treasure Flower makes a fabulous, colorful flowering ground cover that is virtually carefree. Gazania is widely planted in flower beds, along walkways and driveways, mixed containers, pots, baskets and window boxes. In colder climates Treasure flower is grown as an annual plant, and Gazania Rigens seeds are started indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost, so there is enough time for Gazania to bloom the same year. Treasure Flower grows best in full sun easily tolerating heat and drought and adapting to various types of soil.
