The Alugator Light is our lightest avalanche shovel. It weighs next to nothing and can fit into any small daypack. The sharpened, tiltproof blade is made of ultra-robust anodized aluminum, while the attachment holes mean it is easier and faster to construct a snow anchor or rescue sled. The telescopic shaft has an oval profile which makes the Alugator even more robust.
UIAA Approved: Effective rescue thanks to a blade size of at least 500 cm2, reliable use in compacted snow, ergonomic handling thanks to a shovel length of at least 75 cm. These properties qualify our shovels for the new UIAA avalanche shovel standard, allowing customers to identify immediately which avalanche shovels meet practical requirements. Safety first!
