The Tamiya 1/35 German Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.D (35096) reproduces the Panzer IV in its early Ausf.D production configuration — the variant in widespread service during the 1939 Polish campaign and the 1940 French campaign. Armed with the short 7.5cm KwK L/24 infantry support gun and recognisable by its distinctive cupola and hull shape, the Ausf.D represented the Panzer IV before its transformation into the main German battle tank with the long-barrel variants from Ausf.F2 onwards.
