Enter the time space, a soaring library filled with books containing the memories of those who have passed, accessed only by specially made watches once passed from father to son—but mostly now in government hands. This is where eleven-year-old Lisavet Levy finds herself trapped in 1938, waiting for her watchmaker father to return for her.

When he doesn’t, she grows up among the books and specters, able to see the world only by sifting through the memories of those who came before her. As she realizes government agents are entering the time space to destroy books and maintain their preferred version of history, she sets about saving these scraps in her own volume of memories. Until the appearance of an American spy named Ernest Duquesne in 1949 offers her a glimpse of the world she left behind, setting her on a course to change history and possibly the time space itself.

In 1965, sixteen-year-old Amelia Duquesne is mourning the disappearance of her uncle Ernest when an enigmatic CIA agent enlists her help in tracking down a book of memories her uncle had once sought. The best Fellini collection on the US market
The collection is a bit pricey, but in this case you get what you pay for. These movies have all been restored beautifully, and the box is a delight. The packaging is a fairly sturdy cardboard box. It is quite large, so you may have trouble fitting it onto a bookshelf. Mine protrudes about an inch past the end of my shelf. Inside the box is a large folio for the discs and two novel-sized books. One is a guide to each of the films, and the other is full of essays about Fellini and his work. The movies all look great. The blu-ray upgrades look great compared to my old vhs or dvd copies of some of his works. There was a new restoration of all of these films right before the set came out, and it shows. The black and white contrast looks crisp and the color films really pop. As for the quality of the films, you know that some of these are considered top films of all time. The lesser films are still good to great. I think that all of these films are worth watching over and over, and all of them have great special features. All in all, this set is very much worth it, especially during the July sale. I bought it half price, and I feel I got an incredible bargain. All in all, this is probably the best Criterion box set. Don't hesitate, buy it.

Entrance to Fellini Heaven!
I don't think anyone needs to justify the greatness of Fellini as a director or Fellini movies as the greatest movies ever made. It is another thing to have most of his movies in one collection and be able to see them in the order they were produced. Presently, I am in Fellini Heaven and Rota's music is in my head most of the day. It is the greatest movie experience of my 84 year old life. Thank you, thank you, thank you! As far as packaging, I am not happy with the weird packaging of these movies. Storage is going to be a problem! When package arrived as quickly as Prime usually delivers, I was disappointed to find two discs floating outside of their fastening. (I have played half of the collection and so far have not found a problem.) I guess trying to fit all of these movies into a package is going to present a problem, so I might understand the decision to package them as they did. If the disks are O.K., I can live with the packaging. Meanwhile, I truly love having most of his movies in one packaging and, thanks to Criterion, the most magnificent documentaries about each movie. Just with the movies I have seen, I feel a total connection with Fellini I never had before. I almost feel he is my spiritual godfather! Long live this genius!!!!
