Industry reports indicate that Apple will be including the Dynamic Island in all models of this generation's lineup, with the front-facing camera package being provided by several manufacturers. Leaked CAD data intended for case manufacturers indicate that the new phones will be approximately the same size as the previous year's models, but refined with more curved edges and a slightly thicker "camera bump" with lens that protrude slightly less. The Pro model screens are reported to have a narrower bezel boundary between the displayed picture and case edge.

In May 2023, dummies of the iPhone 15 model lineup for case manufacturers began appearing. The models are expected to migrate from Lightning to USB-C ports to comply with regulations from the European Union. The Pro models are reported to be receiving an implementation of USB 3.2 for faster data transfer speeds.
