FEEDING GUIDELINES

As with any new feed, introduce gradually over a week.

PuraBeet needs to be soaked before feeding.

Soak for about 12 hours in cold water (using hot water will shorten the soaking time), at a ratio of 1 part PuraBeet to 5 parts water.

Feed according to your horse's needs and condition. Start with 50g per 100kg of bodyweight per day, increasing as needed up to a maximum of 2.5kg per day. For instance, for a 500kg horse, begin with 250g per day (dry weight, prior to soaking) and adjust as necessary.

A level Stubbs bowl scoop = approximately 1.6kg (dry weight)

Blends & Balancer Measure holds approximately 0.5kg (dry weight)

NUTRIENT CONTENT

All products are natural and may show seasonal variations. The packaging will provide typical analysis relevant to the batch/cut in the bag. Below are the specification ranges for this product to indicate possible seasonal variations.

We do not add vitamins since the forages naturally contain them, often in their precursor forms. The packaging of each forage product provides average vitamin & mineral figures supplied by the British Association of Green Crop Driers to offer an indication of levels found in Lucerne or Grass. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have burns on my feet and needed something that I could put burn creme on and still walk around in with. I tried other silicone footsie but they would teae really easily. So far these are doing really well for this purpose. They are holding their shape too. The only caution I have is the same with all silicone footsies: They can be slippery on wet floors, so also wear with socks over them. The biggest issues is when they say a size they mean it. The silicone used in these have little give in them, so they won't stretch out and loose their shape. That can be a good thing, or not so good, depending on how well they fit your feet and what your intent is with wearing these. The other issue is if they fit snug around those toes, that tends to be where the first tear in the material will happen. Because of how these are made, the tear is actually more like cracking in the material and once it occurs you won't be able to get much use out of the sock after that. If you are planning to wear them around the house or for long term use, I suggest going up a size or look for the toeless options.
