Although Charles Darwin's theory of evolution laid the foundations of modern biology, it did not tell the whole story. Most remarkably, The Origin of Species said very little about, of all things, the origins of species. Darwin and his modern successors have shown very convincingly how inherited variations are naturally selected, but they leave unanswered how variant organisms come to be in the first place. In Symbiotic Planet, renowned scientist Lynn Margulis shows that symbiosis, which simply means members of different species living in physical contact with each other, is crucial to the origins of evolutionary novelty. Ranging from bacteria, the smallest kinds of life, to the largest -- the living Earth itself -- Margulis explains the symbiotic origins of many of evolution's most important innovations. The very cells we're made of started as symbiotic unions of different kinds of bacteria. Sex -- and its inevitable corollary, death -- arose when failed attempts at cannibalism resulted in seasonally repeated mergers of some of our tiniest ancestors. Dry land became forested only after symbioses of algae and fungi evolved into plants. Since all living things are bathed by the same waters and atmosphere, all the inhabitants of Earth belong to a symbiotic union. Gaia, the finely tuned largest ecosystem of the Earth's surface, is just symbiosis as seen from space. Along the way, Margulis describes her initiation into the world of science and the early steps in the present revolution in evolutionary biology; the importance of species classification for how we think about the living world; and the way "academic apartheid" can block scientific advancement. Written with enthusiasm and authority, this is a book that could change the way you view our living Earth.Binding Type: Paperback

Great toy that stands up to tough dogs
Size: 5 Pack
When these toys first arrived and I opened the box I was disappointed. They seemed a bit flimsy and were not what I was expecting Boy was I wrong! My dog lived his new toy and it’s has not left his side. Best of all, it’s a tough little toy that can take a beating and keep going. My dog usually tears through his toys in a matter of hours, and I tried numerous toys over the years. I’ve tried Kevlar toys, toy that claim to be very sturdy, he always destroyed them in a matter of hours. This toy looks flimsy, but it’s soft and strong

Dog toy that lasts.
Size: 5 Pack
I've got a heavy chewer on my hands, so I've basically thrown money away on countless "durable" toys that get shredded in minutes. I was skeptical about these, but the "no stuffing" design caught my eye—at least there wouldn't be fluff all over my living room!
I'm happy to report that these have actually lasted! My dog loves shaking them around and making them squeak.
The crinkle sound is a huge bonus; it really keeps him engaged.
The fact that they're lightweight makes them perfect for a game of fetch, and my dog can easily carry them around.
For the price, getting a whole bundle of these is a great deal. If you're tired of cleaning up toy stuffing, I'd definitely recommend giving these a try.

Not for aggressive dogs but no stuffing is super!
Size: 5 Pack
I've bought these several times but have the attitude that toys are disposable. One of my hounds will drop right through then to pull out the squeaker before losing interest. My other hound wants to love them. Glad there is no stuffing to get all over the house but they will tear quickly.

worth the price !
Size: 5 Pack, Size: 5 Pack
Best toys for our livestock puppies since they have been getting into our outdoor things which isn’t their faults but i figure I would get these small squeaky animals toys and they are obsessed and love playing tug a war with them! They’re super soft, the quality is amazing cause these puppies are tough chew monsters, love the squeaky sound it makes and the patting are suitable as well! Definitely recommend this especially for the price and how fast shipping was !
