My Paddle to the Sea: Eleven Days on the River of the CarolinasThree months after a family vacation in Costa Rica ends in tragedy when two fellow rafters die on the flooded Rio Reventaz n, John Lane sets out with friends from his own backyard in upcountry South Carolina to calm his nerves and to paddle to the sea. Three months after a family vacation in Costa Rica ends in tragedy when two fellow rafters die on the flooded Rio Reventaz n, John Lane sets out with friends from his own backyard in upcountry South Carolina to calm his nerves and to paddle to the sea.

Like Huck Finn, Lane sees a river journey as a portal to change, but unlike Twain's character, Lane isn't escaping. He's getting intimate with the river that flows right past his home in the Spartanburg suburbs. Lane's threehundred-mile float trip takes him down the Broad River and into Lake Marion before continuing down the Santee River. Along the way Lane recounts local history and spars with streamside literary presences such as Mind of the South author W. J. Cash; Henry Savage, author of the Rivers of America Series volume on the Santee; novelist and Pulitzer Prize-winner Julia Peterkin; early explorer John Lawson; and poet and outdoor writer Archibald Rutledge. Lane ponders the sites of old cotton mills; abandoned locks, canals, and bridges; ghost towns fallen into decay a century before; Indian mounds; American Revolutionary and Civil War battle sites; nuclear power plants; and boat landings. Along the way he encounters a cast of characters Twain himself would envy--perplexed fishermen, catfish cleaners, river rats, and a trio of drug-addled drifters on a lonely boat dock a day's paddle from the sea.

By the time Lane and his companions finally approach the ocean about forty miles north of Charleston they have to fight the tide and set a furious pace. Through it all, paddle stroke by paddle stroke, Lane is reminded why life and rivers have always been wedded together.

Lightweight and Easy-to-Assemble
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
These privacy screens are three separate panels, which is really convenient if you don’t need to use all of them at once. I’m currently using two to section off part of my craft room for storage, and it’s working perfectly. They’re lightweight and super easy to move around, so I can rearrange my space whenever I need to. Assembly was simple—everything went together quickly without any hassle.

Great for Privacy, Just a Little Flimsy
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
I recently got this room divider to create a bit more privacy in my home office, and it's been really handy. The thick polyester fabric helps block out distractions, and it's great that it's waterproof, so no worries about spills messing it up. The metal feet keep it stable enough, though I've noticed it can feel a bit wobbly if bumped. It's also super easy to fold and store when not in use, which is a huge plus if you have limited space like I do. Overall, it’s a practical addition, though handling it gently might be a good idea.

Perfect for Creating Private Spaces Without the Hassle
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard, Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
I recently picked up this Kecreque 3-panel room divider because we needed a flexible way to break up space in our garage. I wanted a place to hook up a small tv and play my SuperNES — and honestly, it’s been a fantastic purchase! First off, it’s bigger than it looks in pictures — fully opened, it stretches over 8 feet wide and stands about 6 feet tall. The panels are made of a thick, waterproof polyester fabric that feels much sturdier than I expected for the price. Plus, the steel frame is scratch- and rust-resistant, and the curved feet make it really stable. (No wobbling or tipping, even when our cats decide to race past it at full speed.) Assembly was straightforward — my husband did it himself in under 30 minutes with just the included instructions. The panels clip into the frame easily, and you can adjust the angle of each section depending on how much space you want to close off. It’s also surprisingly easy to move and fold up if you need to put it away; I just fold it flat and tuck it into a corner when it’s not in use. I really appreciate how low maintenance it is too — a quick wipe with a damp cloth has kept it clean. It’s been great for creating a semi-private video game nook, but I can also see it being perfect for an office, a church event, or even a kids’ room (the ad says it can “calm down arguments,” and honestly, I can believe it). Final thoughts: This is a sturdy, well-made, and versatile divider that’s easy to set up, reposition, and store. It looks clean and simple in any area or room and has held up well to daily use. Highly recommend if you need a practical and stylish way to create private spaces without committing to permanent walls!

Quality, and not overly complicated
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard, Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
This is so easy to put together, the parts are numbered, and the wordless instructions are clearer than some I've seen. The material/fabric is pleasant to the touch, and of decent quality. I like that the panels can be used independently of each other, or connected together, depending on your space. Also, the cloth velcros onto the frame, so it can be removed easily for cleaning if need be, without unbolting anything. The combined weight in the box is decent, but once built, each panel is fairly light and easy to move around, while feeling sturdy/not going to fall over unless they're being mistreated. It's a bright sunny afternoon, and I took a picture looking towards a window, so you can see it blocks most things unless directly silhouetted by the bright light on the other side.

Great purchase, easy to put together and maneuver and does the job
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
Easy enough to put together, the nylon curtaining is a bit thin so will either replace or just pin something decorative and thicker to it. Easy to maneuver and does what you need it to do. Right now its leaned against a set of french doors in my room which unfortunately reflect headlight from the street into the room. This has been very useful for blocking that, Also have used it for the intended purpose of privacy other places also. you can also pin the kids pictures to it to show them off, Think outside the box with this nice screen.
