Cloth Inserted Sheet is a fabric reinforced rubber made of SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber). Cloth inserted sheet is a rubber sheet with ply(s) of fabric impregnated in the rubber. Cloth inserted sheet material is designed to add stability where mechanical fastening is necessary, and to reduce gasket creep where heavy flange loading is required. The ply(s) of fabric help reduce tearing when fastened. CI sheet is available in a smooth finish and each sheet would have one ply of fabric per each 1/16" of gauge.

  • Reinforced elastomer with minimum tensile strength of 500 PSI (4 MPA)
  • Made from Styrene Butadiene rubber (SBR rubber) this is a smooth black rubber
  • This reinforced sheet rubber is available in 4 thicknesses (1/16", 1/8", 3/16", 1/4")
  • Cloth inserted rubber sheet durometer has a 65-75, with limited flexibility and low elasticity
  • This reinforced sheet rubber has an approximate weight of: 1LB per square foot in 1/8" thick

It was meant to do however, after a few uses, I noticed that the can opener continue to move around and around the can even after the can lid had been cut open. in January 2026 it began to make more and more rotations around the can and the lid was not cut loose. After a few more uses. It just rotated and did nothing else. I sent an email to the company. I contacted Amazon about it. I’ve done everything that I can possibly see to do but I get no positive results. Consequently, I have a six month old can opener. It does not work. worked well for the first 10 or 20 uses; then the cutting edge just wore out (3-4mos.), so now my money was wasted. No explanation no offer, too bad.
