Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, The Yummy Fur were a wild and weird mix of angular riffs, super short songs and savage vitriol / sardonic social commentary. Singer / guitarist, John McKeown, fronted the band from their 1992 inception (scores of cartoon melodies under a minute long delivered at high velocity) until their demise in 1999. Along the way they recorded three albums: Night Club (1996), Male Shadow at Three O'Clock (1998) and Sexy World (1999). Firm favourites of UK radio DJ legend John Peel, they recorded two sessions for the much revered DJ and regularly featured on his show."We could be like Micheal Stipe and say we liked the Yummy Fur a lot, but that would be a lie because we LOVED the Yummy Fur with all of our heart! Being able to join them on stage for the reunion tour when they played in Portland stands out to us as one of our greatest achievements in our bands career. We didn't just like them, we adored them & obsessively collected anything that had to do with them. They were a beautiful mystery to us in America. Who were these strange weirdos that sang about Lydia Lunch and wrote these 2 minute post-punk masterpieces? My Lexi loves them!

I myself have never tasted them or chewed them, but my dog Lexi goes crazy over them. I insert them into her chew toy puzzle and she is in heaven! the quality is good. the only problem with them is that my Lexi loves them so much! he is constantly bringing her chew toy over for a refill. again! Lets do it again!

Best dog toys for active dogs!

A while ago we bought the ball bone toy for our dog but after trips to 4 different pet stores we were unable to find the replacement rings. Imagine my joy when I found them on Amazon for about $5! It's money well spent, our dog is happy and so are we! They are long lasting (about an hour for our most determined dog) and are easy to replace in the toy. Word of caution, sometimes bits of the treats get stuck in the grooves of the toy or under the ball, make sure you take the whole thing apart and wash it well before replacing the treats. So far this is the BEST toy to distract our curious overactive pup. We'll keep buying them. Look at this happy pup!

Longer Lasting than most things I've tried

I bought these to go on the PetSafe Bouncy Bone which I had bought for my Australian Shepherd/Vizsla mix puppy who chews everything. We had gone through so many "long-lasting" chew toys/bones that really lasted only about 10 minutes and I was looking for something to occupy his time a little longer. These do the trick. Although they still don't last super long, they take a little more effort and keep him distracted a bit longer than anything else edible that I've tried. To me they are a bit pricey, so I try to make them last by only putting one on at a time, instead of one on each end of the toy. I also tighten the ends pretty tight to make it more difficult for him to get at the entire ring. If you don't mind the price, these are an easy and convenient way to keep your dog busy.
