What's new with CS3 V2 Coil-overs? More aggressive rebound damping, 12 linear rebound (RA) settings for easy tuning and an all-new progressive foam bump stop design.

Why consider CS3 Coil Over kit?

Less compromise. You can easily adjust the rebound damping to your preferred settings, and fine-tune the ride and suspension response. The dampers have 12 settings. The soft setting is very similar to our current CS2. The rebound settings have been developed with 12 linear steps, up to full rebound. The big rebound setting is over 50% more than the CS2 units. The compression has a modest increase as well. This means that the CS3 has our characteristic “sporty” ride on softer settings, and can be a real track rat, aggressive autocross or drag launch setup when running firmer springs with the rebound dialed way up.

This is a perfect system for street performance, track day and autocross enthusiasts, as well as project cars with engine swaps. These damping rates have been successfully used on the track with spring rates up to 650# and 800#/inch (F/R).

For the sake of comparison, typical OEM spring rates for these applications are approximately 220#/in front, and 110#/in rear. With the numerous Civic & Integra applications, there is a range of spring rates, and these CS3 systems are significant upgrades from your OEM or replacement-type OEM damper and spring calibrations.

  • Lowering height 1.0" to 3.0"
  • Choose from 14 spring rate combinations
  • 12 progressive rebound damper settings
  • Twin-tube design with deflective disc valving
  • Stainless Steel threaded rear sleeves
  • Unique CNC locking spring perches
  • High Tensile cold-wound springs
  • Includes two spanners & hardware
  • Requires OEM steel top hats for installation

Here is some help SELECTING YOUR SPRING RATE combination. All rates are front/rear:

** STREET-PERFORMANCE
FRONT HEAVY SETUPS (350/250, 450/350 etc.)
Good for Daily Drivers, poor weather and road conditions because these setups do not upset the ride on the highway and during cornering. The softer rear suspension tracks nicely and rides better because it is more compliant. These calibrations ride well on uneven road conditions if set up at a reasonable ride height around 1.0” to 1.5” less than OEM (12.5”). Expect a dramatic improvement in handling capability and steering response. These setups will still have some mild understeer, less than OEM but still easy and forgiving to drive every day and in all weather conditions. This is the choice for sport-tuned Daily Drivers.

** STREET-SPORT
SQUARE SETUPS (350/350, 450/450 etc.)
These setups are a compromise between ride quality and all-out handling. Some impact on ride quality makes for less understeer and faster vehicle response. The stiffer front springs also help prevent bottoming out. This combination is stiffer  and NOT recommended for true daily drivers on poor roads, or drivers rolling a lot of commuter miles. Good for “fun cars” driven by more experienced drivers.

** AUTOCROSS-TRACK & DRAG SPECIFIC
REAR HEAVY SETUPS (350/450, 450/550, 450/650 etc.)
These setups are much more aggressive. This calibration has more grip, and is intended for use with “track only” alignment settings and UHP sticky tires. If ride quality is a concern, don’t go here because the stiffer springs make for an uncomfortable (and choppy) highway ride. This is a more balanced and LESS FORGIVING setup intended for enthusiast TRACK days and AUTOCROSS events. These combinations will also launch well for mild drag applications on DOT tires. Expect a HUGE improvement in handling capability. This would also be a great low-budget setup for new (road racing) drivers going to a (track) DRIVING SCHOOL or TRACK events.
These setups have faster chassis response, are less forgiving, and offer MAX GRIP in most cornering situations. The chassis balance will be very close to ideal, having minimal understeer with “track-only” alignment settings and real UHP tires. This is a BIG compromise in ride quality and will require more DRIVING SKILL to drive at the limit (on the track please!) NOT RECOMMENDED for wet/snow/poor weather and road conditions.

** FRONT SPRINGS 550# and above, 550/550, 550/650 etc.
Recommended for TRACK ONLY vehicles equipped with a front end splitter. The extra spring rate helps put the downforce to good use getting more from bite without excessive bottoming. Also can be used for street cars running super-wide wheels & tires and very low ride heights. At this point, you should know you are signing up for a HUGE compromises and a very stiff setup!

Poor quality control - maybe outlet store leftovers
Size: 11.5, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
The two shoes were not the same size. They were both labeled 11 1/2 but one shoe was larger than the other and the fit was poor. I returned the first pair and ordered a replacement. This time the shoes were close to the same size but too loose and the left one has sewing issues. I've bought Johnston & Murphy for years because of the quality. These were to replace an existing pair of burgundy penny loafers that have finally worn out (even after several heal/sole replacements). That is the expected quality. I suspect Nashville Shoe Warehouse may be handling shoes that didn't measure up for the quality; more like an outlet mall than getting the J&M quality I've come to expect. Update: went to Johnston & Murphy site to buy "direct" from the manufacturer. There were several recent reviews where the shoes were long and didn't fit properly. Genesco - please step up the manufacture / crafting of these classic shoes to the level of quality they used to have.

Size: 9, Color: Black Polished Full Grain
My husband enjoys wearing these shoes. Very classy looking. They fit well. They arrived quickly. He liked them so much he ordered another pair in a different color which have worked out just as well.

Way too narrow
Size: 9.5 Wide, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
I ordered a wide in this shoe, but it was still way too narrow. I had to return them. Otherwise, it looked like a nice quality shoe.

I usually wear 11.5's, but I buy 1/2 size smaller to accommodate for stretch. Leather relaxes.
Size: 11, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
5 STARS: These shoes are awesome. I keep coming back for more. I have major foot problems, have tried all kinds of shoes, orthotics, and inserts... but believe it or not, these shoes work better than any of that stuff. I wear them daily. I buy lots of them, for home, for church, and I'm getting my first pair of J&M boots today, for winters in Indiana... Brrrr

Great price great shoe
Size: 12, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
Excellent shoe. Tried the Sebago penny loafer and the sizing was ridiculous. These J and M are sized perfectly. I’ve had them before and they wear like iron. Very comfortable right out of the box.
