I forged the first F-Cancer Ribbon in the summer of 2019 as Roger, our beloved father, was battling a very sudden and aggressive cancer. Roger lost his battle in July 2019. He was a key figure in our lives and if you visit us at markets you likely met him, as he often came to the markets. 

Ronan is the child of a dear friend who lost his battle with DIPG just as Roger was getting his cancer diagnosis. He loved watching Forged in Fire and would have been incredibly excited to know we are forging these ribbons in his name. He was only 13 when he lost his battle. The same age as our oldest son. 

Our community held us up during our very difficult time and many of you told us that your lives have also been affected by cancer. Cancer has become such an intense presence in our lives, we felt drawn to do something to help others facing this incredibly hard journey while also honouring the memories of these two incredible people. 

When we announced that for 2020 one of our charities would be Kids with Cancer, we had an outpouring of support and requests for us to make these ribbons available. 

We are honoured by the support and have decided to add these ribbons to our production for 2020 to help us in our goal of providing support to Kids with Cancer this year. 

50% of the sale price of each ribbon will be donated to Kids with Cancer Society. 

Each ribbon is individually hand hammered and forged. As such there will be slight variations in each piece. 

These iron talismans can be carried or displayed in a special place in honour for a beloved cancer warrior. Add a cord to turn it into a pendant. Or add a piece of twine and turn it into a Christmas ornament. 

Measurement of the cancer ribbon is approximately: 1.25 inches by 2.75 inches ~ All F-Cancer Ribbons are hand-forged, and each piece of metal has its own essence and character, there may be small blemishes or imperfections, but these add to the unique character of the piece, giving it a special individuality. No two pieces are ever exactly the same.
