Some vehicles require a one-time control module unlock service to enable tuning. While this would normally require mailing off your vehicle's control module to HP Tuners headquarters, having the vehicle sit for a number of days, waiting on processing, then reinstalling the module, we offer a much simpler solution. ECM Unlock Only Service

Our unlock-only option will upgrade your ECM to enable tuning. Simply send us your ECM and we’ll send it back to you fully upgraded for tuning.

Note: Keep in mind that with this option, your ECM will be returned to you with the same programming. If you want the ECM to be pre-programmed to a different VIN, this is not the option for you. Please contact us for options before purchasing.

Note: No need for an IMMO Relearn, Crank Relearn, or to perform the “Replace ECM” Function in VCM Scanner on the stock ECM.

Supported Applications

Supported GM vehicles with the E90/E93 ECM:

• E90 ECM: 2019-2022 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra, 5.3L & 6.2L V8 (L84/L87) (non-Global B)
• E93 ECM: 2020-2023 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra, 6.6L (L8T) / 2021.5 Silverado/Sierra 1500 5.3L

*You must provide, or be purchasing, an HP Tuners MPVI3 or PowerLabs RTD3 or newer generation tuning device with E90/E93 unlock services. A license to program the ECM will be required at time of unlock. If your provided device does not already have the license or credits necessary to license, you will be charged for the required credits for licensing the ECM.

SHIPPING
The customer is responsible for the shipping cost/method when sending the ECM to PowerLabs. Once the order for this service is placed, you will be emailed with further packaging/shipping instructions.

After the ECM arrives at PowerLabs, we will unlock the ECM so it can then be licensed, edited, and flashed with HP Tuners software! This is a one-time unlock that will not affect other operations of the ECM. The factory tools will still work for service and HP Tuners will then work for tuning!

Please allow 1-2 business days (plus the time to ship the ECM) for the unlock process to finish.

Once you receive the ECM back from unlock, re-install the ECM back into the vehicle and then you may tune the ECM with HP Tuners after licensing the ECM.
