Boston punk veterans Dropkick Murphys link up with rising hardcore band Haywire 617 for an 8-song LP built out of time spent touring together in Europe last fall. Each band contributes three original tracks, plus a cover of the other—Haywire 617 taking on “The Boys Are Back,” and Dropkick Murphys reworking “Always By My Side.” The collaboration carried over to the stage during Dropkick Murphys’ “For the People… In The Pit" St. Patrick’s Day Tour which marked the bands 30th Anniversary run this February and March, where both bands shared the bill. A straightforward split that connects two generations of the same city and same scene.
